I miss dirt roads. The summer makes me wish we were still in the truck, driving with my feet out the window, my hand touching yours without any need to speak. It always brings me back to you; the sunshine, the music, the simplicity. I miss the nights when you let me drive on the way home from the ranch. Looking at all the stars and living my own little fairytale for a minute. It’s not about the boots and daisy dukes and trucks…. it’s the life. It’s the happiness next to you in silence and the happiness with the sun on my face. I loved how perfect those nights were.
